Phillip Medina

Trainer

Philip Medina began a career in fitness during the summer of 1991 as assistant to the Director of Fitness for the City of Gulfport. In 1993, Gold's gym asked him to teach fitness classes. Two years later, he accepted the position of General Manager. After securing his first certification through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) in 1996, Philip began training clients as an Certifed Personal Trainer. Subsequent certifications with International Fitness Professionals of America, and National Exercise Trainers Association were helpful in maintaining a fitness knowledge base. With over 20 years of experience, Philip Medina has trained clients with a wide variety of fitness goals, from weight management to special needs (stroke patients, heart patients, accident victims, and clients confined to wheelchairs). Each client receives a personalized fitness program specifically designed for their individual health and fitness needs. No two programs are identical, as each client is unique. This is the very definition of Personal Training. As a natural pro bodybuilder, former Division I athlete, certified personal trainer, and National Board for Health & Wellness (NBHWC) coach, I bring together elite-level athletic training with a holistic approach to whole-person wellness. I've studied over 100 dietary theories, kinesiology, positive psychology, and beheading patterns, giving me the tools to help clients thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. Over the years, I’ve worked with everyone from youth athletes to adults seeking lifestyle transformations, offering stretching programs, nutrition coaching, sports training, and bodybuilding prep. My training style is both inspiring and empowering. I help people believe in themselves and accomplish the results they want. Clients don’t just see results — they gain confidence, energy, knowledge, and sustainable habits that last a lifetime. I invest in the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. To me, fitness isn’t just about looking good; it's about feeling your best, growing stronger, and living fully.

His military background instilled in him the discipline, resilience, and leadership that he now brings to every client he trains. Throughout his career, Preston has helped individuals of all fitness levels transform their lives through customized programs focused on strength, conditioning, weight management, and overall wellness. Backed by extensive certifications and years of hands-on expertise, he combines proven training methods with a motivational, client-first approach that drives lasting results. Passionate about empowering others, Preston's mission is to go beyond workouts — equipping his clients with the mindset, discipline, and confidence needed to build healthier, stronger lives.
